1. The Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has released the monetary policy update for April 2022.
A) In this update Repo Rate has been kept unchanged at 4 percent.
B) The Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) is 4 percent.
C) The Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) is 18 per cent.
D) The RBI announced that citizens of the nation can now withdraw money from ATMs without the usage of any cards in all the banks across India.
2. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh will visit the United States of America between April 11-and 14, 2022.
A) Rajnath Singh along with Dr S Jaishankar will participate in the 4th India-USA 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue on April 11, 2022, in Washington DC.
B) Rajnath Singh is also scheduled to visit the Headquarters of US Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) in Hawaii.
3. Recently the Indonesian government has been forced to put curbs on palm oil shipments.
A) Indonesia is the largest producer of 60 percent of the world’s total production of palm oil.
B) The second-largest producer of palm oil in Malaysia.
4. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released draft guidelines on the registration of doctors for them to practice medicine.
A) The issued guidelines have provided frameworks for the creation of a dynamic national medical register under which each student qualifying for NEET will be provided with a unique ID.
B) Under this draft, the medical graduates of India would become eligible for their registration in the National Medical Register after they complete their MBBS degree from a college that is recognized, complete their mandatory year-long internship, and pass the National Exit Test (NExT).
5. The Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) has conducted a study on forest fires with the title managing Forest Fires in a Changing Climate.’
A) This study found that in the past two decades, the frequency of forest fires and the intensity, as well as an increase in the number of months in which forest fires occur, have increased.
B) According to this study of the CEEW, over 75 per cent of the districts in India are hotspots for extreme climate events, and over 30 percent of districts are hotspots for extreme forest fires.
6. On April 08, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight tested the Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet (SFDR) booster at the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha.
A) The test successfully demonstrated the reliable functioning of all critical components involved in the complex missile system and met all the mission objectives.
B) The SFDR-based propulsion enables the missile to intercept aerial threats at very long range at supersonic speeds.
7. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), ISRO, NRSC and the Unique Identification Authority Of India for technical collaboration.
A) NRSC would be developing a ‘Bhuvan-Aadhar’ portal providing information and locations of the Aadhaar centres across India.
B) The portal also provides a facility to search the relevant Aadhaar centres by location, based on residents’ requirements.
8. Recently, RBI has imposed a penalty of Rs 93 lakh on Axis Bank for their rule violations.
A) RBI, said the penalties are based on deficiencies in regulatory compliance and are not intended to pronounce upon the validity of any transaction or agreement entered into by them with their respective customers.
B) RBI has also slapped a fine of Rs 90 lakh on IDBI Bank.
9. Recently, The Pakistan Supreme Court restored the National Assembly and ordered voting on the no-trust motion.
A) In a unanimous verdict, the five-member bench declared the dissolution of Parliament unconstitutional.
B) Pakistan President Arif Alvi had dissolved the National Assembly on advice from Imran khan.
10. Recently, The Centre has constituted an Animation, Gaming, Comics Promotion and Visual Effects task force to recommend ways to realise and build domestic capacity for serving the global demand and the country’s domestic market.
A) This task force will be headed by the Information & Broadcasting Secretary.
B) This task force also includes secretaries of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Skill Development.
