1) Andhra Pradesh state government creates special women Cadre and notifies rules for Mahila Police Wing.

A) Wing comprises Inspectors, Sub Inspectors, Senior Mahila Police, Assistant Sub Inspectors etc.

B) Most posts are to be recruited by the Police Recruitment Board.

C) Women currently make 12% of the Police Force in the country.

2) Congress launches “Mekedatu March” to build Reservoir on Cauvery river.

A) The reservoir is to be built near Tamil Nadu Border at Mekedatu.

B) It aims to supply drinking water to Bengaluru and the surrounding regions.

C) It is 4km from Tamil Nadu Border and 100km from Bengaluru.

3) WHO recommends two drugs Baricitinib and Sotrovimab for treatment of Covid 19.

A) Baricitinib is an oral drug used to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

B) It provides an alternative to other arthritis drugs called Interleukin 6 receptor blockers.

C) Sotrovimab is an investigational monoclonal antibody for use in treating coronavirus.

4) The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways made driver airbag compulsory fitment on all Motor Vehicles of category M1.

A) Airbag is a vehicle occupant-restraint system which intervenes between driver and vehicles dashboard during collision.

B) It has been decided to enhance safety features by amending the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR), 1989.

C) Ministry mandated Implementation of front air bag wef 1st January 2022.

5) National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi organises a unique art workshop Kala Kumbh for painting gigantic scrolls.

A) The scrolls are 750m in size representing tales of Valor of unsung heroes of India’s freedom movement.

B) Paintings on gigantic scrolls will form an integral part of Republic Day celebrations.

C) Kala Kumhh is organised under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and reflects the essence of unity in diversity.

6) Defence Ministry launches initiatives for welfare of ex servicemen and their families on occasion of Armed Forces Veterans Day.

A) Department of Ex Servicemen welfare has allotted 320 crore rupees to armed forces flag day fund for welfare of veterans and families.

B) It will benefit over one lakh 66 thousand wards and widows of Ex Servicemen.

C) Department also launched Raksha Pension Shikayat Nivaran Portal to speedily redress pensions.

7) Election Commission of India doubles broadcast and telecast time to each National Party and recognizes State Parties in poll bound states.

A) Steps were taken in consultation with Prasar Bharti in view of Covid 19 pandemic.

B) Broadcast and Telecast time will be doubled on Doordarshan and All India Radio during the ongoing General Election in 5 states.

C) Order states to give base time of 90 minutes to each national party and state party of Goa, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Manipur.

8) North Korea tests a Railway Borne Missile inviting fresh sanctions by the US.

A) North Korea tested three missiles in January 2022 amidst rising tensions with the US.

B) The Railway Borne Missile tested is a ballistic Missile.

C) North Korea is increasing Missile arsenals with the support of Russia.

9) The Food Minister releases “5 point reform Agenda for FCI” on 58th Foundation Day of FCI.

A) It will increase global practices and make India as Food Hub.

B) One of the reform agenda is to change public perception of FCI as inefficient and corrupt.

C) It will also create modern Infrastructure and logistics.

10) Oxfam releases a report on Pandemic Billionaires.

A) Report states covid not only took livelihood for millions but it has created new billionaires.

B) Report states people in Asia witnessed wealth zoom during covid 19 pandemic.

C) Mostly billionaires were from India, China, Japan and Hong Kong.
