1. Recently the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced the regulatory framework on microfinance loans.
A) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has removed the margin cap on the pricing of small loans extended by Non-Banking Financial Company-Microfinance Institutions (NBFC-MFIs).
B) The annual household income has been increased to ₹3 lakh to be eligible for availing microfinance level benefits.
2. Telangana is the first state in the country to record its crop diversification pattern as an index.
A) The base value of the Crop Diversification Index is one, which represents the percentage of the total cultivated area devoted to a crop.
B) According to the Crop Diversification Index, 77 varieties of crops are grown in Telangana.
C) The top three districts in terms of crop diversification are Nirmal, Vikarabad and Sangareddy.
3. On March 14, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) announced the extension of the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Subordinate Debt (CGSSD) for one more year.
A) The scheme provides credit facilities to the promoters of stressed MSMEs who are eligible for restructuring as per RBI guidelines.
B) As per the Annual Report of the Ministry of MSME for 2021-22, it is proposed to revise the scheme guidelines, as the scheme has not seen much traction among eligible MSMEs.
4. Recently the IT Minister of Karnataka, CN Ashwath Narayan launched India’s first digital water data bank, Aquarium.
A) Digital Water Data Bank is a list of water data received from various institutions.
B) It provides reliable information and insights about various aspects of water.
C) AQVERIUM is India’s first digital water data bank. It is an initiative of Aquacraft Ventures, a company that has expertise in sustainable initiatives to provide drinking water and sanitation to all.
5. Recently, Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) published the report “Trends in International Arms Transfer, 2021”.
A) The top five importers accounted for about 38% of global arms imports during the period 2017-21.
B) According to the report, India is the largest importer of arms globally and in 2017-21, India accounted for 11% of global arms imports.
C) India’s total import volume declined by 21% from 2012 to 2016.
6. The 6.193-member United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) adopted a resolution to declare March 15 as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.
A) The resolution regarding the International Day to Combat Islamophobia was introduced by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Munir Akram.
B) This resolution was introduced by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries under the agenda item Culture of Peace.
C) The resolution was sponsored by 57 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and eight other countries including China and Russia.
7. Recently, the Ministry of Forest, Environment and Climate Change announced a project for the rejuvenation of 13 major rivers of the country.
A) Himalayan rivers- Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas, Sutlej, Yamuna and Brahmaputra.
B) Deccan or peninsular rivers- Narmada, Godavari, Mahanadi, Krishna and Kaveri.
C) Inland Drainage Range River- Luni.
D) These 13 rivers cover about 57.45 per cent of the geographical area of India.
E) Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) prepared the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of 13 rivers selected for rejuvenation.
