1) Army Personnel to participate in the multinational Exercise ZAPAD 2021, being held at Nizhniy, Russia.
A) Of the 17 countries invited, there are 9 Participating countries and eight Observers including China and Pakistan.
B) It is one of the Theatre level exercises of the Russian Armed Forces and will focus primarily on operations against Terrorists.
C) The NAGA Battalion group participating in the exercise will feature an all arms combined task force.
2) China opens its first road rail transport link to the Indian Ocean named China-Myanmar New Passage.
A) The route is “The first to link western China with the Indian Ocean”.
B) This passage connects the logistics lines of Singapore, Myanmar and China.
3) IMF increases allocation of Special Drawing Rights (SDR) to India.
A) SDR is an alternate reserve currency which is floated by the IMF.
B) The IMF has increased India’s SDR Quota to 12.57 billion.
C) SDR can be freely exchanged between member countries instead of relying on the currency of any one particular country.
4) India signs a contract with BEL for supply of the first indigenous comprehensive Naval Anti Drone System (NADS).
A) NADS comprises both “Hard kill” and “Soft Kill” capabilities.
B) Contract was signed in presence of representatives from DRDO and senior Naval Officers.
C) NADS is the first indigenously developed anti drone system that will be inducted into IAF.
5) Central Banks in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and South Africa launched a Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) scheme.
A) CBDC is a cross border payments trial that uses different CBDC in order to assess if this allows transactions to be settled in a cheap and easy manner.

6) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor launches Rural Enterprises Acceleration Programme called “SAATH” for SHG women.
A) Initiative will help 48000 SHGs in which about four lakh women are connected in J&K.
B) The Government also aims to create 11000 more SHGs in upcoming years.
C) SAATH initiative was launched in line with Ummed Scheme that enabled women to start their own business.
7) Chief Minister of Punjab launches “Innovation Mission Punjab” (IMPunjab).
A) It is a public private partnership mission that will bring in global investors and experts to catalyse startups.
B) Mission will boost the growth potential of Punjab and create a thriving economy by means of generating jobs and inviting investment.
