2.Recently in Keoladeo National Park Africa’s Boma technique has been used to translocate deer.
A) The Boma capturing technique,which is popular in Africa,involves luring animals into an enclosure by chasing them through a funnel-like fencing.
B) The National Tiger Conservation Authority’s (NTCA) technical committee has approved a proposal to shift two tigers from Ranthambore National Park to Mukundara.
3.The Kh-47M2 Kinzhal is a Russian hypersonic aero-ballistic air-to-surface missile which has recently been in the news.
A) The Kinzal was first deployed in December 2017 and is one of six new Russian strategic weapons unveiled in 2018.
B) The missile is designed to hit NATO warships,posing a threat to Russia’s missile system.
C) The missile’s first stage is most likely shared with the 9K720 Iskander and their guidance component is unique to this missile.
4.NITI Aayog to Organise 5th Edition of Women Transforming India(WTI) Awards on 21 March.
A) The WTI Award has conferred on 75 women achievers to celebrate their contribution towards a ‘Sashakt Aur Samarth Bharat’ as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
B) The Award has given by equally exceptional group of women-Kiran Bedi,Lakshmi Puri (former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry),Dr Tessy Thomas,Arundhati Bhattacharya,Debjani Ghosh,Ila Arun,Salma Sultan,etc.
C) Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) is an aggregator portal that aims to catalyse the entrepreneurial ecosystem for women and address information asymmetry.
5.Recently The Haryana government has inaugurated the 35th Surajkund International Crafts Mela.
A) Governor of Haryana Shri Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurat the 35th Surajkund International Crafts Mela.
B) The Mela has also helped in reviving the heritage crafts of India.
C) The Surajkund Craft Mela was first organised in 1987 to showcase the richness and diversity of the handicrafts, handlooms, and the cultural heritage of India.
D) Jammu & Kashmir is the ‘Theme State’ of the 35th Surajkund International Craft Mela 2022.
6.For promoting literacy among age groups 15 and above, the government launched ‘New India Literacy Programme(NILP).
A) The scheme has been approved with a financial outlay of Rs.1037.9 crore.
B) The scheme has five components namely, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, Critical Life Skills, Vocational Skills Development, Basic Education and Continuing Education.
