1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off 100 farmer drones in different cities and towns of India to help farmers spray pesticides in their fields.
A) This scheme was announced in the Union Budget 2022.
B) Under the scheme, start-ups will be promoted to facilitate ‘Drone Shakti’ for Drone-as-a-Service (DRaaS).
C) This step will prove to be a milestone in the development of the drone sector and will also open the skies to unlimited possibilities.
2. The city of Mumbai will host the 2023 International Olympic Committee session.
A) The announcement confirms that India will host the prestigious IOC meeting for the first time since 1983.

3. Japan introduced its first hydrogen-powered train.
A) The main objective of starting the hydrogen train is to make the country carbon neutral by 2050.
B) The train has been developed by East Japan Railway in collaboration with Hitachi and Toyota Motor Corporation.
C) In hydrogen-powered trains, Europe has been the leader.
D) The “Hybari” two-car train costs more than 4 billion yen and can travel up to 140 kilometres at a top speed of 100 kilometres per hour on a hydrogen-fuel one.
4. World Social Justice Day is celebrated every year on 20 February.

6. Under the ‘Waste Free City’ vision, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has sanctioned Rs 235 crore to Andhra Pradesh.
A) One of the primary objectives of the mission is to clean up 16 crore metric tonnes of old garbage dump sites, which are occupying about 15,000 acres of municipal land.

7. The Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) was used for the first time to map the distribution of atomic hydrogen gas from the host galaxy of the Fast Radio Burst (FRB).
A) National Center of Radio Astrophysics (NCRA-TIFR) in Pune and U.S.A. of the University of California for this. Astronomers used the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) in 2008.

8. Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the “Gobar-Dhan (Bio-CNG) Plant” in Indore.

9. National Tribal Research Institute, New Delhi and Indian Tribal Service Organization (BAJSS) signed an MoU to develop BAJSS as a resource centre for NTRI.
