1. Every year on March 21, people across the world observe international forests day.
A) On the occasion of International Day of Forests, Union minister of environment, forest and climate change (MoEF&CC) Bhupender Yadav led a plantation drive at National Zoological Park in New Delhi.
B) Prime Minister Modi also started the initiative ‘Janbhagidari’) to plant 75 trees in every village to mark 75 years of Indian Independence.
C) This ‘Janbhagidari’ initiative will not only create awareness but follow up on the recently released detailed project report on rejuvenation of 13 major rivers through forestry interventions.
2. Recently the GI Tag has been awarded to Narasinganpettai Nadaswaram.
A) Narasinganpettai Nadaswaram is a classical wind music instrument that is made in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu.
B) This musical instrument has a cylindrical shape and takes the shape of a bell at the bottom.
3. The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination has been observed annually on 21 March across the globe.
A) The theme of this year’s observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination was ‘voice for action against racism’.
B) This day also encouraged people globally to strengthen their voices against racism and a safe environment for all those speaking out against racism.
4. The Ministry of Civil Aviation and FICCI organised ‘WINGS INDIA 2022’ from 24th-27th March 2022, Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad.
A) This is Asia’s largest event on Civil Aviation focusing on business aviation, commercial and general aviation.
B) This event was organised under the theme ‘India@75: New Horizon for Aviation Industry’.
5. On 22nd March 2022, the Maharashtra Police and the Indian Army’s Agnibaaz Division conducted a joint exercise named Suraksha Kavach 2 at Lullanagar, Pune.
A) This exercise was conducted to coordinate the procedures and drills undertaken by the Army and Police to counter any terrorist attacks in Pune.
B) In this exercise took a part of Maharashtra Police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad, Maharashtra Police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad, India Army’s Counter-Terrorism Task Force and bomb Disposal Teams of the army, as well as the police.
6.Recently study says tropical Indian Ocean has experienced a rapid increase in ocean warming with an average rise in Sea Surface Temperature (SST) of about 1 degree celsius over the period of 1951-2015 at a rate of 0.15degree celsius/decade.
A) The study shows that the western Indian Ocean had a total of 66 Marine Heat Wave (MHW) events while the Bay of Bengal had 94 events during 1982–2018.
B) In the year 2021, there were 6 marine heatwaves recorded in the western Indian Ocean over a period of 52 days.

8.The United Nations has announced a project to put every individual on the planet in early weather-warning range.
A) This project aims to make the alert systems that are already in use in many rich countries available to the planet’s developing countries.

10.India abstained from United Nation General Assembly(UNGA) votes on 24 March against Russia.
A) India abstained on two resolutions at the UNGA.The first abstention was on a draft resolution proposed by Ukraine that held Russia responsible for the crisis.
B)The second was a procedural vote on whether the UNGA ought to take up a second resolution, proposed by South Africa, for action at all.
