2. The Punjab Assembly passed a unanimous resolution seeking immediate transfer of Chandigarh to the state.

3. On 2nd April, a 34.5 km train route was started between Jaynagar (Bihar) in India and Kurtha in Nepal.

4. To focus on digital and green tourism, the Government has prepared Draft National Tourism.

5. The government announced the merger of four film media units with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).
A) These films are respectively, the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF), the National Film Archive of India (NFAI), Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI).
B) This year the NFDC will be organising the 53rd International Film Festival Of India (IFFI).

7. Recently, the Sports Authority of India released a pocket allowance to khelo India Athletes.
A) For the period January to March 2022, the Sports Authority of India has released a total of Rs 7.22 crore to a total of 2509 Khelo India athletes in 21 disciplines including Para.
B) The funding has been done as per the Khelo India Talent Development (KITD) Scheme.
8. India and Australia mutually announced a trade deal to be imported duty-free in the coming year.
A) In This trade deal Australia will be providing 95 percent of Indian goods to be imported duty-free.
B) The deal is seen to be a strategic move, which will help to take the bilateral trade between both countries to USD 45-50 billion in the next five years.
9. The Finance Ministry said that to revive the economy and meet the revenue gap, the central government wants to raise Rs 8.45 lakh crore through borrowing in the first half of 2022-23.
A) The borrowing of a total of Rs 8.45 lakh crore will be targeted in the month of April to September.
B) The main objective of borrowing is to carry forward capital expenditure which has a multiplier effect on the economy of the country.
10. The Finance Ministry said that the gross GST collection in March reached an all-time high of Rs 1.42 lakh crore.
A) Out of this total collection, SGST is Rs 32,378 crore, CGST Rs 25,830 crore, IGST Rs 74,470 crore and Cess Rs 9,417 crore.
B) The revenue for March 2022 is 15 percent higher than the GST revenue in the corresponding month last year.
