1) National Gallery of Australia announces to return 14 works of art to India.

2) The Indian Vessels Bill 2021 passed in Lok Sabha.

A) It replaces the Inland Vessels Act 1917.

B) Bill seeks to introduce a uniform regulatory framework for inland vessel navigation across the country.

C) Bill empowers state govt to delegate certain functions related to non mechanically propelled inland vessels to their local governments.

3) ISRO to launch India’s third lunar mission “Chandrayaan -3” in 2022.

A) It is a lander and rover specific mission which will demonstrate India’s capability of soft landing on a celestial body.

B) The orbiter has an estimated lifespan of 7 years.

C) Its exploration aims at studying not just one area of the Moon but all areas combining the exosphere, the surface as well as sib surface in a single mission.

4) Maharashtra Bhushan Selection Committee selects Asha Bhosle for Maharashtra Bhushan Award 2021.

A) The committee is chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

B) It is the highest civilian award presented annually by the government of Maharashtra.

C) It was first awarded in 1996 to Purushottam Laxman Deshpande in the field of Literature.

5) MoHFW provides 27% reservation for OBCs and 10% reservation for EWS in the All India Quota (AIQ) scheme for medical education.

A) The reservation will be provided for UG and Postgraduate medical/dental courses from the current academic year 2021-22.

B) The AIQ Scheme was introduced in 1986 under direction of the Supreme Court for domicile free merit based opportunities to students from any state.

C) All India Quota consists of 15%of total available UG seats and 50% of total available PG seats in Government medical colleges.

6) Union Cabinet approves Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation(Amendment) Bill 2021.

A) It has been introduced in Parliament’s Monsoon session.

B) Deposit Insurance Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of RBI.

C) It provides deposit insurance that works as a protection  cover for bank deposit holders when the bank fails to pay its depositors.

7) The Ministry of Science and Technology informed Rajya Sabha about the launch of “EOS-03” Geo Imaging Satellite.

A) It is to be launched in 2021.

B) It would enable real time monitoring of natural disasters like floods and cyclones.

C) It is capable of imaging the whole country 4-5 times daily.
