1. Egypt as its New member added by BRICS New Development Bank.
A) In NDB Egypt was admitted as a fourth member on 29 December 2021.
B) Currently members of NDB are: Bangladesh, UAE, Uruguay and Egypt.
C) By inclusion of Egypt BRICS Bank global outreach has increased.
D) NDB was set up by the BRICS countries with the aim of mobilising the resources for infrastructure and development projects in emerging economies.
2. REC organized ‘BIJLI UTSAV’ as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
A) REC limited is a public infrastructure company under the Ministry of Power.
B) REC provides financial assistance to the state government, rural cooperatives, central/state public utilities etc.
C) The event highlighted the benefits and challenges in generating electricity.

B) First edition of ARIIA ranking launched in 2018.
C) It critically evaluates institutions on parameters like Patent filing and grants, number of registered student and faculty start up etc.
D) IIT Madras topped the ranking followed by IIT Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Roorkee.
5. New Policy For Women 2021 released by Tamil Nadu.
A) This policy provides training for martial arts in school and colleges.
B) 33.3% women representation in registered parties.
C) Free coaching or subsidised coaching of UPSC, CAT and TNPSC will be provided by Tamil Nadu government.
6. First Installment of RYTHU BANDHU SCHEME released by Telangana Government.
A) The meaning of Rythu Bandhu is “Friend of Farmer”.
B) Under this scheme, the State government provides financial support to the land owning farmers at the beginning of the crop season through DBT.
C) This is the First Farmer Investment support scheme in India, where cash is paid directly.
7. Recently the Quantum Laboratory was established by the Indian Army at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh.
A) Quantum Laboratory established at Military College of Telecommunication Engineering in Mhow.
B) This Laboratory was established with the help of the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS).
C) The Military College Of Telecommunication Engineering has also established an Artificial Intelligence centre by the Indian army.
8. Shakti Criminal Laws Passed in the Maharashtra assembly.
A) Maharashtra is the second state after andhra pradesh who approve death penalty for henious offences of Rape.
B) In the existing law, death penalty is only provided when the offences is in repetitive in nature.
