1.On 5th BIMSTEC Summit was held in Colombo on 28th and 29th March in virtual mode.
A)This summit was held under the theme of “Towards a Resilient Region, Prosperous Economies, Healthy People”.
B)The main outcome of the Summit was the adoption and signing of the BIMSTEC Charter, which formalises the grouping into an organisation made up of member states that are littoral to, and dependent upon, the Bay of Bengal.
2.The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has released the total horticulture production in 2020-21 as 334.60 Million tonnes.
A) This report was released after compiling and collecting all the information that was received by the states and UTs.
B)In 2021-22 total production of horticulture is 333.3 Million tonnes,which is less than 0.4 percent of previous year.
3.Recently Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and NITI Aayog has released a book titled ‘Indian Agriculture towards 2030.
A) This book contains the themes like Transforming Indian Agriculture,Structural Reforms and Governance,Dietary Diversity, Nutrition and Food Safety,Managing Climate Risks in Agriculture,Science, Technology and Innovation,etc.
B) This book mainly discusses pathways for enhancing farmers income,nutritional security and sustainable food and farm systems.
4.The latest census of the World Heritage Sites flagship animal has revealed the Indian rhinoceros in the Kaziranga National park and tiger reserve has increased by 200 in four years.
A)In this census there are a total of fifty elephants,125 enumerators and 250 frontline staff.
B)The year’s census had a first the use of drones for the recheck of 26 park compartments where the sample survey was done.
C) The last rhino census conducted in 2018 had a total number of rhinos estimated at 2413.
5.On 29 March United Nation Commission on Human Rights adopted by acclamation a resolution ‘Garibi Hatao’.
A) The resolution was piloted by the Indian delegate and its co-sponsors were Chile and Poland.

6.Recently the Centre for Development Studies (CDS) and the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) have released a study shedding light on the space economy of India.
A) India spends 0.23 percent of GDP for the Indian space economy.
B) Rs 36,794 crore is the figure the researchers have put forward for 2020-21 fiscal.
7.On 30th March every year Rajasthan Diwas observed formed after the merging of Rajputana into Indian Union.
A) Rajasthan is India’s largest state by area,which is 4 percent of the country’s geographical area.
B) There are three national tiger reserves which are Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve,Ranthambore National Park and Sariska Tiger Reserve.
8.Recently there are 53 different ministries and 313 centrally sponsored schemes on Dbt Bharat Portal.
A) Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT) programme was launched by the Indian government on 1st January 2013.
B) The aim of the DBT programme is to bring transparency to the beneficiaries across the country.
9.Recently CS Rajan has been appointed as chairman of Infrastructure Leasing and Finance Ltd (IL&FS).
A) He appointed the chairman to this post for six months.
B) IL&FS is an infrastructure development and finance company that is funded by the government.
10.Recently Karnataka government announced Vinaya Samarasya Yojana.
A) Vinaya Samarasya Yojana programme was announced with the aim of eradicating untouchability in Gram Panchayats across the state.
B) This scheme will be launched on 14 th April on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti.
