1. Five new members were placed in the United Nations Security council (UNSC).
A) Five new members are:- Albania, UAE, Gabon, Brazil, Ghana.
B) The General Assembly elects each year five new non-permanent members for the term of two year.
C) UNSC is one of the six main organs of the United Nations.
D) There are 15 members in the UNSC in which 5 permanent members (with veto power) and 10 non permanent members.
2. Recently, the Green Energy corridor phase-II scheme was approved by the cabinet committee on Economic affairs.
A) GEC phase II scheme approved for intra state transmission system.
B) GEC Scheme enables grid integration and power evacuation of 20 GW of Renewable energy in 7 states namely; Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
C) Second phase will be implemented during the 2021-22 to 2025-26 fiscal years.
3. India’s first Unique “Rock” Museum inaugurated by the union minister of science and Technology.
A) Aim to educate and enlighten the masses about several known facts and display around 35 different types of different parts of India.
B) The Age of Rock Ranging from 3.3 billion years to 55 million years.
C) The Rock in the museum also represents the deepest part of the Earth up to 175 Km of Distance from the Earth’s surface.
4. The 19th meeting of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) released the Action plan regarding the introduction of cheetahs in India.
A) 50 cheetahs will be introduced in different National parks in the country.
B) Reintroduction of the African cheetah from south africa was expected in the Kuno National park in M.P.
C) This is the First time in the world that a relocation of a large carnivore from one continent to another.
5. 1650 lives have been saved by RPF personnel from the wheels of running trains at the station under “MISSION JEEWAN RAKSHA”.
A) RPF was established for better protection and security of railway property.
B) The Railway Protection Force was established under the RPF protection Force Act,1957.
C) Operation Amanat is an initiative of RPF under which RPF retrieves the luggage of the passenger and returns to them after due verification of the passenger.
D) Meri Saheli was launched to provide security to lady passengers travelling alone.
6. The Veer Gatha Project was launched by the Government of India as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
A) The aim of this project is to inspire the children in India, by making them aware with the stories of war heroes.
B) This project is organised by the Department of school education and Literacy and the CBSE, Under the ministry of Education.
C) Veer Gatha Project organised from october 21, 2021 to November 21, 2021.
7. Recently ECI, increased the existing limit of election expenditure for the candidate of Parliament and Assembly Polls.
A) Parliamentary election expenditure has been increased from 70 lakhs to 95 lakhs in bigger states and 54 to 75 lakhs in smaller states.
B) In Jammu and Kashmir (UT) election expenditure has been increased to 95 lakhs.
C) In Assembly election expenditure has been increased from 28 lakhs to 40 lakhs in bigger states and for smaller states it has increased from 20 lakhs to 28 lakhs.
8. Lower diversity of waterbird species found in Sanjay Lake according to Asian Waterbird Census.
A) Sanjay lake is a man-made lake.
B) Every year in January AWC is conducted and is coordinated by the Bombay Natural History Society and the Wetland International waterbird census (IWC) IN India.
C) Sanjay Lake is maintained by the Delhi Development Authority and this is the largest green area in East Delhi.
