2) India’s first Dugong conservation Reserve to be built in Tamil Nadu.
A) Dugong is a marine animal enlisted vulnerable to extinction on a global scale by IUCN.
B) Reserve will be spread over an area of 500 km in Palk Bay on the South East coast of Tamil Nadu.
C) Dugong is the only herbivore mammal that is strictly marine.
3) Himalaya Day 2021 observed on September 9.
A) National Mission for Clean Ganga organised Himalaya Diwas in collaboration with Naula Foundation.
B) Theme: Contribution of Himalayas and Our Responsibilities.
C) Day is observed to mark the significance of the Himalayas.
4) US Secretary of Energy and Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, India launched revamped US-India Strategic Clean Energy Partnership(SCEP).

5) MoHUA and MeITY launch pilot drive “MAIN BHI DIGITAL 3.0”.
A) It is a special campaign for digital onboarding and training for street vendors under PM SVANidhi Scheme across 223 cities in the country.
B) BharatPe, MSwipe, Phone pe, Aceware are participating in this drive to issue UPI IDs, QR CODE and provide digital training.
C) Digital Payment Aggregators will handhold the street vendors to bring enhanced adoption of digital transactions.
6) First Deliverable Unit of Medium Range Surface To Air Missile (MRSAM) System handed over to IAF.
A) MRSAM is an advanced network centric combat Air Defence System developed jointly by DRDO and Israel Aerospace Industries.
B) It is capable of engaging multiple targets at ranges up to 70 kms in severe situation scenarios.
C) Missile is powered by an indigenously developed rocket motor and control system.
7) The Railway Ministry closes down the Indian Railways Organization of Alternate Fuel (IROAF).
A) IROAF is a separate enterprise that works in the field of green fuels for transport.
B) It recently invited bids for hydrogen fuel cell based technology to run the trains.
C) Work of IROAF will be transferred to Northern Railways and Railway Board.
