1) Indian Government notifies Indian Telegraph Right to Way (Amendment) Rules 2021.
A) The rules seek to incorporate the “Uniform Procedure for establishing overground telegraph” line in Indian Telegraph Right to Way Rules 2016.
B) These amendments will ease permission procedures related to RoW for establishing and augmenting digital communications infrastructure in India.
C) New Rules have a provision of strengthening e-Governance and financial inclusion.
2) PM Modi paid tributes to cartoonist RK Laxman on his 100th birth anniversary.
A) Rasipuram Krishnaswami Laxman was an Indian cartoonist, illustrator and humorist.
B) The Common Man is a cartoon character created by Indian Author and cartoonist RK Laxman.
C) Laxman also created a popular mascot for Asian Paints ltd group called “Gattu” in 1954.
3) The Ministry of Power notifies rules for sustainability of the Electricity sector and Promotion of Clean energy.
A) It is being done to meet India’s commitment towards climate change.

7) India convenes 7th meeting of BRICS Communications Ministers as current BRICS Chair.
A) Ministers adopted the Terms of References of Digital BRICS TASK FORCE and supported advancement in work of BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution (PartNIR).
B) Ministers also appreciated the discussion on “360° approach on New Industrial Revolution” in a seminar during the Working Group on ICTs Cooperation.
