1) CII Asia Health Summit 2021 held on October 28, 2021.

A) Summit was addressed by Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Mansukh Mandaviya.

B) Theme: Transforming Healthcare for a better tomorrow.

2) The Ministry of Finance releases 44,000 crore to States and UTs under back to back loan facility in lieu of GST Compensation.

A) Karnataka received the highest amount of 5011 crore.

B) The release is in addition to normal GST compensation being released every 2 months out of actual cess collection.

3) PM Modi participated in the 18th India-Asean Summit at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan of Brunei.

A) His majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah is holding the current chair of ASEAN.

B) PM Modi announced India’s support for establishing ASEAN Cultural Heritage List.

C) The leaders announced the year 2022 as India-ASEAN Friendship Year.

4) Government of India and Asian Development Bank signed a $251 million loan for climate resilient Integrated Urban Flood Management in Chennai.

A) It will strengthen the resilience of Chennai city to floods.

B) Project intervention will help reduce vulnerability of Chennai -Kosasthalaiyar basin residents to frequent floods.

5) Indigenously built Indian Coast Guard Ship “SARTHAK” commissioned and dedicated to the nation at Goa.

A) ICGS SARTHAK is 4th in the series of five OPVs being built by Goa Shipyard Limited for ICG.

B) These OPVs are multi-mission platforms capable of undertaking concurrent operations.

C) It will be based at Porbandar in Gujarat.

6) The Union Health Minister launches the 6th edition of National Formulary of India (NFI).

A) NFI has been published by Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) to promote rational use of medicines in the country.

B) The NFI is aligned with National Health Programmes and National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM).

C) 34 Therapeutic categories chapters including 591 drug monographs and 24 appendices are included in this edition.

7) Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana emerged as toppers in a recent study of the Public Affairs Centre on Governance performance.

A) Telangana has replaced Andhra Pradesh at the 3rd spot as compared to 2020 rankings.

B) In the index Sikkim, Goa and Mizoram emerged as winners among small states.
