1) Durga Puja of Kolkata inscribed into the representative list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by The 16th Committee of UNESCO.

A) It is the first Festival of Asia to achieve recognition as UNESCO ICH of Humanity.

B) 14 Intangible Cultural Heritage Elements from India have now been inscribed on UNESCOs Representative List.

C) The Representative List of ICH humanity has 492 elements.

D) UNESCO Intends to enhance visibility of communities cultural practices aiming to safeguard intangible cultural heritage of communities globally.

2) The Union Cabinet approves the 76000 crore Programme for Development of Semiconductors and Display Manufacturing Ecosystem in India.

A) It is aimed at making India Global hub of electronic system design and manufacturing.

B) Scheme will provide fiscal support of utpo 50% of the project cost.

C) Entire programme would lead to 35000 high quality direct jobs and indirect employment of 1 lakh persons.

3) The Government of India approves the Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters with the Government of Poland.

A) It aims to enhance effectiveness in investigation and prosecution of crimes through cooperation and mutual legal assistance.

B) Gazette notification will be issued under relevant provisions of CRPC 1973 to give effect to provisions in India.

4) Cabinet approves an incentive scheme to promote Rupay debit cards and BHIM UPI transactions.

A) Under the scheme acquiring banks will be incentivised by way of paying a percentage value of transactions (person to person) done through Rupay debit cards and BHIM UPI.

B) It will also help in making accessible digital modes of payments to unbanked and marginalized populations.

C) Scheme has been formulated in compliance with Budget FY 2021-22.

6) NTPC announces India’s first Green Hydrogen Microgrid Projects to be set up at Simhadri, Andhra Pradesh.

B) Hydrogen produced during sunshine hours will be stored at high pressure and electrified using 50 KW Solid Oxide Fuel Cell.

7) BJP Ladakh MP Tsering Namgyal demands to include Ladakh region in Sixth Schedule.

A) It will safeguard land, employment and the cultural identity of the local population.

10) Eighth Indian Ocean Dialogue hosted by Indian Council for World Affairs (ICWA).

A) India is focussed on Freedom of Navigation and respect for Maritime laws in Indian Ocean Region and greater Indo Pacific. 

B) Minister of State for External Affairs said India’s Vision of the region is based on SAGAR doctrine encompassing political, security, economic and socio cultural spheres.
