1) Sail Training Ship INS Sudarshini deployed to the Gulf to enhance maritime cooperation with friendly navies.

A) The ship was built at Goa Shipyard and showcased indigenous shipbuilding capabilities.

B) Ship made port calls at Muscat, Dubai and Bandar Abbas.

3) Ministry of Power to launch Reforms based and Result linked, Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

A) Objective is to improve operational efficiencies and financial sustainability of State owned DISCOMS.

B) RDSS has an outlay of Rs 3,03,758 Crore.

C) Scheme is aimed at improving reliability and quality of supply to end consumers.

4) A Japanese professor developed a lickable TV screen called “Taste The TV (TTTV)”.

A) It can imitate food flavors, creating a multi sensory viewing experience.

B) Goal is to make it possible for people to experience something like eating at a restaurant even while staying at home.

C) Potential applications include distance learning for sommeliers and cooks and tasting games and quizzes.

5) India will soon develop and manufacture receiver modules essential for the NAVIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation).

A) It is an application  developed by ISRO for a constellation of seven satellites.

7) Sri Lanka inked a deal with India to jointly develop Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm.

B) It is located in China Bay and comprises 99 storage tanks with a capacity of 12000 kilolitres each.

C) Proposal to refurbish the oil Farm was envisaged 35 years ago.

8) INS Kesari reaches the Port of Maputo, Mozambique to provide aid under the SAGAR Mission.

A) The naval ship carried 500 Tennessee of food aid to the nation.

B) India is also committed to provide capacity building efforts to the Mozambique Armed Forces.

C) SAGAR Mission was launched in 2015.

9) DAY-NRLM organises a special event called “Discourse on Rural Financial Inclusion”.

A) Event provided overdraft facility for Women SHG members.

B) Six women SHG members from Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh were provided with a cheque of Rs 5000 to mark the start of the scheme.

C) 5 crore women SHG members under DAY-NRLM would be benefitted from this facility.

10) Defence Minister laid the foundation stone for BRAHMOS manufacturing Centre established by DRDO.

A) It is being established in Lucknow.

B) It will produce a new BRAHMOS-NG (Next Generation) variant.

C) It will commence production at a rate of 80-100 BRAHMOS-NG missiles per year.
