1. The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment launched the ‘Muskaan’ scheme to support marginalized persons for livelihood and enterprise.
A) In this scheme the government allocated Rs 365 crore for the financial year 2021-22 to 2025-26.
B) The focus of the scheme is on large scale rehabilitation, provision of medical facilities, counselling, basic documentation, education, skill development, economic linkages.
2. Andhra Pradesh Police destroyed two lakh kilograms of cannabis worth Rs 500 crore as part of Operation Parivartan in Visakhapatnam.
A) Operation Parivartan was launched last year between 31 October and November 2021 to February 2022.
B) A total of 1,363 cases were registered and 1,500 people arrested under this campaign, out of which 562 were from other states.

5. Australia announces the ‘Maitree’ Scholars Program to support Indian students in its universities.
