1. The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has included the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in its grey list.
A) FATF is an intergovernmental body established by the G7 countries in 1989.
b) If a country is placed on the FATF Gray List, it will be closely monitored and examined by the FATF for any deficiencies or lapses in combating “money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing”.
C) The FATF Black List includes countries that do not cooperate with the FATF in tackling money laundering and terror financing issues.
2. The National Highway for Electric Vehicles (NHEV) has set up India’s largest EV charging station in Gurugram.
A) NHEV is the first intercity e-mobility prototype program under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to facilitate Ease of Doing Business through single window clearance by 2020.
B) It is based on the reforms of the Ministry of Power to set up charging stations on National Highways in a sustainable manner with minimum capital and operating expenses.

4. On 4 March 2022, the Defense Ministry said that the indigenously developed MMIC Earth Observation Satellite – 04 (EOSO4 satellite) by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
A) MMICs operate at microwave frequencies (300 MHz to 300 GHz).
B) EOSO4 satellite is a follow-up to the RISAT-1 satellite.

7. According to Mercom India Research, India installed a record 10 gigawatt (GW) solar capacity in the year 2021, a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 212 percent.

8. The National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) to create an initiative to promote entrepreneurship at the grassroots level by launching the Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme.

9. The ninth edition of the bilateral maritime exercise SLINEX (Sri Lanka-India Naval Exercise) of the Indian and Sri Lankan navies will be held in Visakhapatnam from March 7 to 10.
A) The 8th edition of SLINEX was held in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka.
B) SLINEX aims to enhance mutual understanding, interoperability and exchange of best practices and practices for multi-faceted maritime operations between the two navies.
