About the Sankalp se Siddhi – Mission Van Dhan
- TRIFED (The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India) under the support of Ministry of Tribal Affairs launched the scheme.
- Arjun Munda, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs on June 15 launched the scheme.
- Sankalp se Siddhi is a 100 day program started from 21 April 2021.
Objectives of the mission
- The main purpose of the mission is to activate the Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDKs) around the tribal areas for production and sale.
- This mission involves 150 teams visiting 10 villages in each region thereby covering 1500 villages in the next 100 days.
Target of the scheme
- Activation of 50,000 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras, 3,000 Haat Bazaars, 600 Godowns, 200 Mini TRIFOOD Units, 100 Common Facility Centres, 100 TRIFOOD parks, 100 SFURTI clusters, 200 Tribes India retail stores, and e-commerce platforms for TRIFOOD and Tribes India brands.
- The target sale after the activation on VDKs is expected to be Rs200 crores in the next 12 months.

- Inauguration of new premises of the TRIFED headquarters at NSIC(National Small Industries Corporation) Complex, Okhla Industrial Area, New Delhi,
- Inauguration of 7 more “Tribes India”: two in Jagdalpur, three in Ranchi, one in Jamshedpur and another at Sarnath.
- Tribes India Coffee Table Book which highlights the rich tribal heritage and the journey of various tribal artisans practicing different arts and crafts.
What is Van Dhan Scheme?
The Van Dhan Scheme was launched in 2018 to improve the economic condition of the tribal people who are involved in the collection of Minor Food Produces (MFPs). MFPs includes non -timber items, edible roots, seed, fruits, flowers and plants.
It is estimated that about 100 million people in these areas depend on MFPs for food and shelter. In order to provide the tribals sustainable livelihood, Van Dhan Vikas Kendras were constituted.
These Vikas Kendras are aimed at upgrading the skills of the tribal people. These centers also provide training to make the tribal people more self- efficient.
