Eligibility criteria for SSC CHSL are released by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) every year. Lakhs of aspirants apply for the exam. In order to apply for the exam, you must fulfill certain criteria such as age limit, educational qualifications, etc. In this article, we will have a brief overview of the eligibility criteria for the SSC CHSL exam 2020.
- SSC CHSL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2020- Nationality:
The candidate applying for the exam must fulfill the following conditions:-
- Must be a citizen of India or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan or
- A Tibetan Refugee who arrived before 1 January 1962
- A person of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Zambia, East African countries (Uganda, Kenya, The United Republic of Tanzania), Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
As per the SSC CHSL eligibility, if you belong to (ii), (iii), or (iv) category, you should have an approved certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Also, a candidate whose certificate of eligibility is necessary will be admitted to give the examination but will only be appointed offer when the necessary certificate is issued to him/her by the Government of India.
- IBPS CLERK ELIGIBILITY 2020: AGE LIMIT
The minimum age limit to appear for the exam is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years. Also, you must have neither been born earlier than January 2, 1993 nor later than January 1, 2002, for the unreserved/general category.
However, if you belong to the reserved category, you are provided relaxation in the upper age limit for the SSC CHSL exam.

- IBPS CLERK ELIGIBILITY 2020: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
To appear for the examination you must have passed the 12th standard examination in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized board or equivalent.
If you possess any degree obtained through open University/ Distance Education Mode, then that must be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU.
You must possess a valid mark-sheet / Degree certificate that he/ she is a graduate indicating the percentage obtained in Graduation while applying online.
