Step 1: SSC registration
Firstly, candidates need to register themselves on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission – ssc.nic.in. Once registered, candidates can proceed towards filing the SSC application form for their respective exam. The SSC application fee for a majority of recruitment exams is Rs 100.
Step 2: SSC admit card
Next, candidates need to download the SSC admit card for their respective exam from the official regional websites of the commission. Candidates can download their admit card by logging in using details such as registration/application number, date of birth and password.
Step 3: SSC exam
Candidates have to appear for their respective SSC exam as per the details mentioned on their admit card. It may be noted that each SSC exam is conducted in different parts/tiers/papers. For instance, SSC CGL is conducted in four tiers – two computer-based tests (CBTs), one descriptive pen-and-paper based test (PBT) and one computer proficiency test/skill test/document verification round. Candidates have to appear for each part/tier/paper to qualify their respective SSC exam.
Step 4: SSC result
SSC result is declared on the official website of Staff Selection Commission after each part/tier/paper of the exam is conducted. The result is usually released along with the SSC cutoff. Candidates who clear one SSC paper qualify for the next level/tier of the exam. Candidates qualifying the exam for the final tier/level are then allotted relevant posts as per the available SSC vacancies.
Also, all the very best to all the aspiring candidates!
