1. Sustainable Access to Markets and Resources for Innovative Delivery of Healthcare (SAMRIDH) initiative was announced by ‘Atal Innovation Mission’ (AIM) of NITI Aayog.

A) SAMRIDH initiative to improve access to quality and affordable healthcare for vulnerable populations across tier-2 and tier-3 cities, rural and tribal regions.

B) Implement of SAMRIDH initiative NITI Aayog in association with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

C) It will also build health system preparedness for future health emergencies and infectious disease outbreaks.

2. The Women in the Boardroom report was recently released by Deloitte Global.

A) The seventh edition of the report updated the status of women on the boards across 72 countries.

B) The report said that only 3.6% of the chairpersons are women in the country.

C) Equality in representation all over the world shall be achieved only by 2045.

D) In 2021 women taking CEO roles in India increased around 4.7%.

E) According to the report, women hold only 17.1% of board seats in India.

3. Seven Indian army personnel were killed in an Avalanche in Arunachal Pradesh.

A) The Indian Army has launched “Search and Rescue” operations to find the soldier.

B) Arunachal Pradesh became a state on 20 February 1987 and its capital is Itanagar.

C) The highest peak in the state is Kangto at 7,060 metres.

4. National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data, the first pandemic year, 2020, witnessed the highest number of suicides among the unemployed in the recent past.

A) Total number of suicides in 2020 was 1.53 lakh as opposed to 1.39 lakh in 2019.

5. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch its first mission in 2022.

A) ISRO plans to place, into orbit, an Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-04) onboard the PSLV C-52 on February 14.

B) ISRO plans to place the 1,170 kg EOS-04 in a sun-synchronous polar orbit of 529 km.

C) EOS-04 is a radar-imaging satellite (RISAT), designed to provide high-quality images under all weather conditions such as flood mapping, hydrology, soil moisture, agriculture.

6. India’s first commercial-scale biomass-based hydrogen plant will be constructed in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.

A) Biomass is a renewable organic resource that includes agriculture crop residues, animal waste, forest residues, etc.

B) The plant is being put up by Watomo Energies Ltd in association with Biezel Green Energy.

C) The headquarters of Watomo Energies is Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.

7. Union government ban on the import of drones other than for security, research and defence purposes.

A) The Government banned drone import to promote ‘Made in India’ Drone. But there will be no ban on the import of drone parts.

B) New Drone Rule 2021 was released to bring a more liberalised regime for an unmanned aircraft system.

C) A Digital sky platform will be developed as a business-friendly single-window online system.

8. The UK based Joint European Torus (JET) laboratory recently produced 59 megajoules of energy from a fusion reaction.

A) The new JET model can run only for 5 seconds.

B) The new model, the artificial sun can be created on the earth.

C) During fusion reaction, two hydrogen atoms fuse to form helium atoms.

9. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) awarded 225 million dollars to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) for harm caused to individuals.

A) Uganda will have to pay the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 325 million dollars in compensation related to the brutal conflict between the two countries from 1998 to 2003.

B) The International Court of Justice (ICJ) was established in 1945 by the United Nations Charter.

C) The headquarter of ICJ is located in The Hague, Netherlands.

10. The Minister of State for Education, Dr Subhash Sarkar presented the 5th National Award for Innovations and Good Practices in Educational Administration.

A) National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) has instituted a National Award for Innovations and Good Practices in Educational Administration.

B) NIEP was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Ministry of Education) which is located in New Delhi.

C) NIEPA was established in 1962.
