1) India sent a strong contingent of 228 people including 119 athletes to the Tokyo Olympics.

A) India will be fighting for 85 medal events.

2) NTPC signed a MoU with Ladakh and LAHDC to set up Country’s first Green Hydrogen Mobility Project.

B) MoU will enable NTPC to help Ladakh develop a carbon free economy based on renewable sources and green hydrogen.

3) RBI announces Retail Direct Gilt (RDG) account for hassle free trading in govt bonds for retail investors.

A) RBI said that retail investors can open an account with the central bank to start trading in govt banks.

B) Both Resident and Non Resident Retail investors will be eligible to invest in Govt securities.

4) EU approves Military training in Cabo Delgado province of Mozambique to support Armed forces there to protect civilians.

A) It aims to train and support the military in restoring security to northern Cabo Delgado which has been plagued by extreme violence amidst Jihadist attack since 2017.

B) The region is an ethnic stronghold of the Makonde Tribe with Makua and Mwani as leading ethnic minorities.

5) NTPC to set up India’s Largest Solar Park at Khwada, Rann of Kutch.

A) NTPC has received go ahead from MNRE to set up a 4750 MW renewable energy park.

B) It will be India’s largest solar park to be built by the largest power producer of the country.

C) NTPC aims to build 60GW Renewable Energy Capacity by 2032.

6) BHIM-UPI jointly launched by the Finance Ministers of Bhutan and India in Bhutan.

A) Launch fulfills commitment made by two countries during the Prime Minister of India’s state visit to Bhutan in 2019.

B) With the launch the payment infrastructures of the two countries are seamlessly connected.

C) The move will benefit a large number of Tourists and Businessmen from India who travel to Bhutan each year.

7) The Vice President receives the book “Urdu Poets and Writers-Gems of Deccan”.

A) The book is authored by Senior Journalist Shri JS Iftekhar.

B) It is an anthology of prose and poetry that encapsulates the life and works of 51 outstanding poets and writers of Deccan Region.

C) Book traces the rich literacy and cultural traditions of Deccan.

8) FAO Publishes “State of Food Security and Nutrition In World 2021” report.

A) It provides a grim reminder of the impact of COVID 19 Pandemic on Food Security.

B) FAOs study was conducted in 63 low and middle income countries.

C) As per report there is significant decrease in affordability of healthy food because of loss in income.
