1. India observed the National Productivity Day on February 12, 2020, which provides planning time, skills, energy, intelligence, resources and opportunities to achieve goals.

A) National Productivity Council observed Productivity Week under the theme “Self-reliance through Productivity”.

B) NPC is an autonomous organization established in 1958.

D) The NPC was registered in 1860 under the Societies Registration Act XXI.

2. India banned 54 Chinese apps on February 14, 2022, which poses a threat to India’s security.

A) According to Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, there is a provision to ban apps.

B) In June 2021, India banned 59 Chinese mobile applications, including widely used social media platforms such as TikTok, WeChat, Helo etc.

3. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy to host “New Frontiers” program on Renewable Energy as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.

A) In this event, the Ministry will organize a physical program on the theme “India leading the energy transition” at Vigyan Bhawan on 16 February 2022.

B) The objective of this meeting is “Roadmap to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070”.

4) Starlink has lost 40 satellites that were caught in a geomagnetic storm a day after launch.

A) Geomagnetic storms occur when solar flares are sent toward Earth with higher-than-normal radiation levels.

B) Geomagnetic storms are mainly classified into two levels, the safest being G1 and the most extreme, G5.

5. National Health Authority launched Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission with Aarogya Setu App.

A) This scheme is under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

B) Under this mission, 14 digits unique digital health ID will be given to those people who will keep their health records.

6. Newly-appointed Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said that the US sanctions threat against India will have no effect.

A) Sanctions Act (CAATSA) imposed by the US on another country.

B) This issue started because India had bought an S-400 missile from Russia.

C) The S-400 Triumf is a mobile, surface-to-air missile system (SAM) designed by Russia.

7. India’s Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) held an annual meeting to review progress under Japanese Industrial Townships (JITs) in India.

A) Under the Japan Industrial Township (JIT), the work agenda for Indo-Japan investment and trade promotion and Asia-Pacific economic integration was established.

B) Japan is the only country in India to have a dedicated country centric industrial township.
