3) India-Singapore to link Fast Payment Systems, UPI and Paynow to facilitate low cost cross border fund transfers.

A) RBI from India and the Monetary Authority of Singapore announced the project.

B) The linkage is targeted to be operationalised by July 2022.

C) UPI is India’s mobile based fast payment system that facilitates customers to make round the clock payments instantly using VPA.

4) Indian Navy hands Passenger Variant Dornier (PVD) aircraft on lease to National Coast Guard, Mauritius.

A) The aircraft was presented to the Mauritius Police Force at an official ceremony.

B) MSN 4059 had been leased to the MPF by the Indian Navy on a grant basis.

5) IIT Bombay launches “Project Udaan”.

A) Aim is to break the language barrier that many students face when they join institutes of higher education.

B) It enables translation of textbooks and other study material related to engineering and other streams.

6) Dr Renu Swarup Secretary of DST highlighted the importance of cooperation, collaboration and connections for science to move forward at BRICS Young Scientist Forum.

7) Hindi Dias celebrated across the country on September 14, 2021.

C) On this day the President of the country felicitates people for their contribution to Hindi language and literature.
