1) 45th meeting of the GST Council held in Lucknow under the Chairmanship of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

A) Council approved a special composition scheme for brick kilns with turnover threshold of 20 lakh from april 1.

B) Council decided to keep Petroleum products out of the GST regime.

C) To shore up GST revenues council decided to form two groups of ministers to recommend measures.

2) MeitY launched the second phase of the Visvesvaraya PhD scheme.

A) It will promote research in 42 emerging technologies in ESDM and ITES.

B) Scheme was initiated by MeitY in 2014 with approval of CCEA.

C) Objective is to enhance the number of PHDs in the ESDM and ITES sectors.

3) Health Ministry flagged emerging challenge in 11 states across India of stereotype 2 dengue.

A) The state reporting are Andhra Pradesh,Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, MP, UP, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.

B) It is a mosquito borne viral infection found in tropical and subtropical climates worldwide.

C) Virus responsible for causing dengue is called Dengue Virus (DENV).

4) The 36th International Coastal CleanUp day celebrated on September 18, 2021.

A) Day was celebrated by Eastern Naval Command at Visakhapatnam.

B) Aim was to create awareness among people to keep beaches clean, safeguarding our environment etc.

C) THEME: Keep Trash in the Bin and Not in the Ocean.

5) The Ministry of Law and Justice launched “Ek Pahal Drive” for Justice delivery at doorstep.

A) Campaign was launched in a bid to encourage mass registration under Tele Law.

B) Campaign was launched by the Department of Justice and NALSA.

C) Campaign seeks to actualize the aspiration of access to justice to citizens in India.

6) Two Indian Projects selected to get EarthShot Prize 2021.

A) One project is Solar Powered Ironing Cart project designed by a 14 year old Tamil Nadu School girl and second is the Agricultural Waste Recycling Concept.

B) First ever Environment Prize called Earthshot Prize was launched by Britain’s Prince Williams and David Attenborough in 2020.

7) TRIFED entered into collaboration with FIIT to commercialize production of Mahua Nutra beverage.

A) It is a Heritage Drink in the State of Jharkhand.

B) It is first of its kind initiative in the state of Jharkhand and country by TRIFED.
