1.N.Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata sons, has been appointed chairman of Air India.

A) Earlier, the appointment of former Turkish Airlines chairman Ilkar Ayci as the chairman of Air India was announced.

B) On 8 October 2021, the Tata group acquired Air India from the government for Rs 18,000 crore.

2.Yogi Adityanath has made ‘The Kashmir Files’ film tax free in Uttar Pradesh.

A) The film Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has also been made tax free in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Goa and Haryana.

B) This movie is based on the true story of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir Valley in 1990.

3.According to a report by the Registrar General of India, the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) of India has declined by 10 points.

A) Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) has fallen from 113 in 2016-18 to 103 in 2017-19, a decline of 8.8%.

B) Now nine states which are as follows- Kerala (30),Maharashtra (38), Telangana (56), Tamil Nadu (58),Andhra Pradesh (58), Jharkhand (61), Gujarat (70), Karnataka (83) and Haryana (96) have achieved the MMR target set by the National Health Policy.

4.The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs stated that 28,69,477 eligible beneficiaries have benefited under the PM SVANidhi Scheme till March 7, 2022.

A) As per the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) street vendors engaged in vending in urban areas on or before March 24, 2020 are eligible for benefits under PM Svanidhi Yojana.

B) PM SVA Nidhi is a central sector scheme in which the loan amount to the beneficiaries is released directly to the beneficiaries by the lending institutions; for this no funds are released to the states.

5.Licious fresh animal protein brand, has raised 150 million dollars in a series F2 funding round.

A) These funds raised through series F2 will be utilised for investment in technology that will help category development and improve overall customer service.

B) Series F2 is led by Singapore based Amansa Capital, along with Kotak PE & Axis Growth Avenues AIF-I.

6.Centre to spend Rs19000 crore in the next five year for rejuvenation of 13 rivers.

A) Objective of this plan is to grow green cover along both sides of these rivers and their tributaries to increase groundwater recharge,reduce erosion,etc.

B) The rivers identified for this rejuvenation model including Yamuna, Krishna, Cauvery, Mahanadi and Brahamputra spread over 24 states and 2 UTs.

7.The Oscar winning star of ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’,’The Big Chill’,and ‘Broadcast News’ William Hurts died at 71.

A) His most recent roles on screen are General Thaddeus Ross in the Marvel films The Incredible Hulk,Captain America Civil war,Avengers Infinity War,Avenger Endgame and Black Widow’.

B) His portrayal as a gay prisoner in South America in the 1985 movie ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’ earned him as Oscar as well as a BAFTA Film Award for best actor.

8.Data released by the National Statistical Office(NSO)0n 14 march showed inflation as measured by Consumer Price Index(CPI),rose an annual 6.1 percent in February from 6 percent in January.

A) Retail inflation at 8 month high and wpi for 11th month high according to the NSO.

B) The National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) and the Central Statistics Office (CSO) merged to form the National Statistical Office (NSO) on 23 May 2019.

9.Government has started Incentives for Green Farming and promoting non chemical farming.

A) Government is promoting natural farming through Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) and Bharitya Prakratik  Krishi Padhati along the river Ganga .           

B) Under this scheme farmers are provided financial assistance of Rs 31000 per hectare during 3 years for organic inputs such as seeds, biofertilizers, bio-pesticides, organic manure, compost/vermi-compost, botanical extracts etc.

10.To boost the Automobile and Auto Component Industry in India, the government started the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme.

A) In this PLI scheme 75 Applicants approved under the Component Champion Incentive Scheme’.

B) A total of 115 companies had filed their application under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Automobile and Auto Component Industry in India which was notified on 23 September2021.

C) PLI scheme for Automobile and auto components and PLI for ACC along with FAME Scheme to enable India to leapfrog to an environmentally cleaner, sustainable, advanced and more efficient Electric Vehicles (EV) based system.
