1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off 100 farmer drones in different cities and towns of India to help farmers spray pesticides in their fields.

A) This scheme was announced in the Union Budget 2022.

B) Under the scheme, start-ups will be promoted to facilitate ‘Drone Shakti’ for Drone-as-a-Service (DRaaS).

C) This step will prove to be a milestone in the development of the drone sector and will also open the skies to unlimited possibilities.

2. A study has shown that moths are essential for pollination in the Himalayan environment of Northeast India.

B) Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) was launched in the year 2000 to provide all-weather road connectivity to eligible unconnected habitations across the country.

6. The Modi government has approved the continuation of the Central Sector Umbrella Scheme of “Border Infrastructure and Management” (BIM).

A) From the year 2021-22 to 2025-26 the cost of the scheme will be Rs. 13,020 crores.

B) The BIM scheme will help in building infrastructure such as the construction of border fences, flood technical lights on the border, solutions etc.

7. Indian Air Force (IAF) and Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) are to participate in a bilateral exercise named Eastern Bridge-VI at Jodhpur Air Force Station from 21 to 25 February 2022.

A) This will be the sixth edition of the exercise.

B) It will provide an opportunity to enhance operational efficiency and interoperability between the two air forces.

8. The Ministry of Culture, Government of India in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts (IGNCA) and UNESCO New Delhi Cluster Office today launched a two-day program on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.

B) The theme of this year 2022 is “Using Technology for Multilingual Education: Challenges and Opportunities”.

9. India showcased the export potential of organic and horticultural products at EXPO2020 Dubai.

10. The Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Pralhad Joshi lauded Coal India Limited (CIL) for receiving the “Most Trusted Public Sector in India” award.

A) Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve, Minister of State for Coal, Mines and Railways also lauded CIL for receiving the prestigious award.

B) The award was presented to CIL by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
