1. National Tribal Research Institute, New Delhi and Indian Tribal Service Organization (BAJSS) signed an MoU to develop BAJSS as a resource centre for NTRI.

A) Conservation and digitization of rare books in BAJSS library and development of it as e-library and revival of Tribal Museum, digitization of artefacts and creation of interactive kiosks have been approved by the ministry

B) An amount of Rs 150 lakh has been approved for making an e-library.

2. 25 Technology Innovation Centers (TIHs) set up across the country through National Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems Mission (NM-ICPS) will promote new and emerging technologies to power national initiatives in key areas.

A) A total of 496 technical products including 46 new technologies will be developed through these TIHs.

B) First of its kind Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring of ambient temperature during transport of vaccines, including COVID-19, medicines, blood samples, food and dairy products, meat products and animal semen Are included.

3. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), about 1 lakh people got employment from the LPG distribution system.

A) LPG coverage has increased from 61.9% to near saturation level in the last five years.

B) As part of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package, over 14 crores free LPG refills were provided to PMUY beneficiaries during COVID-19.

4. To cater to next-generation digital manufacturing and mitigate immediate disabilities of local industries launched the “National Strategy on Additive Manufacturing”.

A) Additive Manufacturing (AM) has immense potential to revolutionize India’s manufacturing and industrial production landscape through digital processes, communication, imaging, architecture and engineering.

B) The Minister of Electronics and IT and the Minister of State for Electronics and IT released the “National Strategy on Additive Manufacturing”.

5. Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region, Tourism and Culture Shri G. Kishan Reddy addressed the ‘Northeast MSME Conclave’ to seize opportunities and create competitiveness.

A) The recently announced Rs 1,500 crore Pradhan Mantri Vikas Pahal (PM-Divine) scheme for the Northeast will prove to be a bonus for the region.

B) He further emphasized the fact that MSMEs will play a vital role in the economic development of the country in the ‘Amritkaal’ of the next 25 years. 

6.  A 69,000-year-old temple has been found at a remote Neolithic site found in Jordan.

A) The temple has anthropomorphic stripes on two carved standing stones.

B) The ritual complex was found in a Neolithic camp near large structures known as “desert kites” or collective nets. 

7. Moody’s said that in the event of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, global oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices may see a sharp rise.

A) India imports about 85% of its crude oil requirement and almost half of its natural gas requirement.

B) The Russia-Ukraine conflict began in February 2014 with the Russian annexation of Crimea from Ukraine.

8. The Central Government extended the term of the Jammu and Kashmir Delimitation Commission for the second time.

A) The tenure of this commission has been extended for two months and it will end on 6th May.

B) The commission is headed by retired Supreme Court Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai.

C) Under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill, the number of assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir will be increased from 107 to 114, which will benefit the Jammu region.

9. India’s Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas, indigenously designed, developed and manufactured, is all set to participate in the famous ‘Cobra Yoddha’ exercise.

A) The Cobra Warrior exercise is the largest joint military exercise, conducted by the Royal Air Force (RAF) in the United Kingdom.

B) The COBRA Yoddha exercise will be conducted with an objective to provide operational demonstration and share best practices among the participating Air Forces. 

10. For the first time in its 90-year history, a zoo in Cheshire, United Kingdom gave birth to an aardvark calf in January 2022.

A) He was born on 4 January 2022.

B) There are only 66 aardvarks in zoos across Europe.

C) The animal is listed as “least concern” by the IUCN.
