1. A 1.7-MW Solar Photovoltaic Plant commissioned by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) at Bina, Madhya Pradesh for the Indian Railways.

A) It is the first such solar power plant that has been commissioned to feed traction power directly onto the Indian Railways network.

B) Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited is a state-owned manufacturing and engineering organization headquartered in New Delhi.

2. The Chinese rover Yutu-2 recently discovered the mysterious glass sphere on the far side of the Moon.

A) Yutu-2 is a robotic lunar rover component of the Change 4 mission to the Moon by CNSA. It was launched on 7 December 2018.

B) The China National Space Administration (CNSA) is responsible for international space cooperation and civil space administration.

C) It is headquartered in Haidian, Beijing.

3. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is organizing the “Devayatanam Conference” as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

A) Devayatanam Conference is a two-day international conference. Devayatanam is an Odyssey of Indian temple architecture.

B) It was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Culture, Tourism and Donor Shri G Kishan Reddy.

C) The conference is being organized to deliberate upon the philosophical, social, religious, technical, economic, scientific, art and architectural aspects of the temple.

4. Global banking conglomerate Standard Chartered announced its partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to launch a payments platform for the airline industry in India.

A) IATA Pay is powered by Standard Chartered’s Straight2Bank Pay platform. It is a payment platform, which helps online merchants digitize collections using multiple payment options through single global connectivity.

B) Standard Chartered and IATA launched IATA EasyPay in India in 2021.

C) International Air Transport Association (IATA) is a trade association of airlines of the world which was established in 1945.

5. Indo-Oman exercise, Eastern Bridge-VI (2022) was successfully conducted from 21 to 25 February 2022 at Jodhpur Air Force Station.

A) The Royal Air Force (RAFO) of Oman participated in the exercise with the Indian Air Force (LAF) aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of both the Air Forces to provide operational performance and mutual exchange of best practices Is.

B) It also provided avenues for cultural exchange between the personnel of the two countries.

6. Aircraft manufacturer Boeing delivered the 12th P-8I long-range maritime patrol aircraft to the Indian Navy.

A) It replaced the old fleet of Tupolev Tu-142 aircraft of the Indian Navy.

B) The P-8I aircraft is a variant of the P-8A Poseidon Multimission Maritime Aircraft (MMA) operated by the US Navy.

7. The Russia-Ukraine crisis may allow India to export more wheat to global markets.

A) Russia is the world’s largest exporter of wheat, which alone accounts for 18% of international exports.

B) Egypt is the world’s largest importer of wheat, spending over 4 billion dollars annually.

8. Language Certificate Selfie Campaign launched by the Ministry of Education to promote multilingualism and encourage cultural diversity to promote the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

A) This initiative aims to promote the Bhasha Sangam Mobile App which is developed by MyGov India and the Ministry of Education. Using this app, people can learn 100+ sentences of daily use in about 22 scheduled Indian languages.

B) The “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat” scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October 2015, to celebrate the cultural diversity of India as well as develop cultural awareness and nationalism among the citizens of India. A strong mechanism had to be established for this.

9. India and Nepal agreed to set up a Joint Task Force on “Proposal to build a hydroelectric project” with investments from both countries.

A) The agreement was signed at the 9th meeting of the Nepal-India Energy Secretary-level Joint Steering Committee in Kathmandu.

B) Arun-3 Hydro Electric Project is a 900 MW run-of-river project, located on the Arun River in eastern Nepal.

10. Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane announced the setting up of the MSME Technology Center in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.

A) The MSME sector has contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of the country.

B) MSME-Technology Center will provide the best technology, incubation and advisory support to the industry, especially MSMEs.

C) This will be done to enhance their competitiveness and to provide skilled services to both the unemployed as well as employed youth of the region to increase their employability.
