1) Canada suffers from a Severe heat wave due to the Heat Dome Effect.

A) Heat Dome occurs when the atmosphere traps hot ocean air like a lid or cap.

5) The Agriculture Minister inaugurated the New Centre of National Horticulture Board(NHB) at Gwalior.

A) NHB is mandated for integrated development of hi tech commercial horticulture and post harvest management/cold chain infrastructure in Country.

B) Farmers from 21 districts of Northern Madhya Pradesh will be benefited under schemes of National Horticulture Board.

7) The Secretary of the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation released the Glacial Lake Atlas of Ganga Basin.

A) Present Glacial Lake Atlas is based on inventoried glacial lakes in part of Ganga River basin from its origin to foothills of Himalayas.

B) Study portion of the Ganga River Basin covers part of India and the Transboundary region.

C) Atlas is available on Bhuvan Portal of NRSC.

8) National Doctors day observed on July 1.

A) It is celebrated to honour legendary physician and second CM of Bengal Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy.

B) He was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1961.

C) He is often considered as the Maker of Modern West Bengal.
