1) India to stop excess water flowing to Pakistan under the Indus Waters Treaty.

A) India uses excess water to irrigate its own land.

B) India  and Pakistan signed the Indus Water Treaty in 1960 after 9 year negotiations.

C) Indus River System comprises River Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas and Sutlej.

A) India to offer Cowin Platform as digital public goods to other countries to run their Covid 19 vaccination drives.

3) The Department of Education launches the National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading  with Understanding and Numeracy (NIPUN Bharat).

5) USA adds Pakistan and 14 other countries to the Child Soldier Recruiter List published under its Annual Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report.

C) It is also considered a war crime under the Rome Statute of International Criminal Report.

6) NTPC invites Expression of Interest (EOI) for sale of fly ash from designated ports of Middle East and other regions.

A) It is being done for 100% utilization of fly ash.

B) Fly Ash is a by-product of power generation with Coal.

C) The Fly Ash generated at NTPC stations is ideal for use in manufacture of Cement, Concrete etc.

7) Ayurveda Dataset on CTRI Portal to be launched online by Ayush Minister.

A) Ayurveda Dataset of CTRI has been jointly developed by ICMR and CCRAS, Ministry of Ayush.

B) Key feature is provision of selection of Ayurveda Health Conditions from the drop down of 3866 Ayurveda Morbidity codes incorporated from the NAMASTE portal.

8) Tropical Storm ELSA strengthens and nears CUBA.

A) Caribbean Island Govt issued hurricane warnings in provinces of Cienfuegos and Matanzas.

B) ELSA is an active Tropical Cyclone  and was first monitored by the National Hurricane Centre as a tropical wave.
