1) The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is observing the “Mental Health Awareness  Campaign Week” from October 5.

A) October 10 is marked as World Mental Health Day.

B) Aim is to encourage people’s participation in breaking the stigma associated with Mental disorders.

C) First World Mental Health Day was celebrated in 1992 as an initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health.

2) Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann and Giorgio Parisi won the Nobel Physics Prize for Climate models and understanding physical systems.

A) This is the first time climate scientists have been awarded the Physics Nobel.

B) The IPCC won the Peace Nobel in 2007 for its effort in creating awareness for the fight against climate change.

3) 41 Industrial Parks have been assessed as Leaders in the Industrial Park Rating Report released by DPIIT.

A) 90 Industrial parks have been rated as Under Challenge category while 185 have been rated as Under Aspirers.

B) 2nd edition of the IPRS report was launched by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

C) The IPRS 2.0 Report will enhance India’s Industrial Competitiveness and attract Investment.

4) Department of Ex-Servicemen welfare integrates “Electronic Pension Payment Order” (EPPO) with Digi locker.

A) EPPO is generated by the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (PCDA) Pension, Allahabad.

B) It has been integrated to enhance Ease of Living of Defence Pensioners.

5) MoRTH launches a scheme for “Good Samaritans”.

A) Under the scheme cash reward of 5000 will be provided per accident to those saving the life of a road accident victim.

B) Cash reward will be provided to the person for rushing the victim to hospital within the Golden Hour of the accident.

C) Cash Reward will also be accompanied with certification of appreciation.

6) UNESCO releases its “State of Education Report (SOER) 2021 for India: No Teachers, No Class”.

A) The report will be released on World Teachers day i.e October 5, 2021.

B) It is the Third edition of the State of Education Report.

C) Theme: Teachers, Teaching and Teacher Education.

7) First Consignment of GI tagged sweet dish Mihidana sourced from Bardhaman, WB has been exported to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

A) West Bengal’s Bardhaman got the GI tag for the century old sweetmeats in 2017.

B) In 2021 India Post released a special cover on West Bengal’s sweetmeats Mihidana and Sitabhog.
