1) Today in 1489 Bahlul Khan, founder of the Lodi Dynasty, died.
He was grandson of Malik Bahram, a Pashtun Native of Multan working for governor of Multan. Sayyid ruler of Delhi Alam Shah retired in 1448 to Badaun in UP. Alam Shah’s minister Hamid Khan invited Bahlul to occupy the throne. He took the title Bahlul Shah Ghazi on becoming king of Delhi.
2) Today in 1917 Independence Activist Satyendra Narayan Sinha was born.
He was an Indian Politician and statesman. He was a leading light of Jaya Prakash Narayan’s complete revolution movement during Emergency and a former CM of Bihar.
3) Today in 1295 Famous Sant Savtamali attained “Samadhi”.
He was a contemporary of Namdev and devotee of Vithoba. A temple dedicated to him exists in Aran. He married a very religious and devoted Hindu Janabai.
