I welcome you all to “Today in History by Hranker.com”. Here, we will discuss some of the major events in the history of 14th of July, 194th day of the year and 28th Wednesday of 2021.
1) Today in 1942 Resolution for Immediate Independence was passed at Wardha, Maharashtra.
INC passed a resolution at Wardha demanding Immediate independence. The resolution led to the Quit India Movement.
It also suggested civil disobedience on a huge scale if the British did not accept the demands.
2) Today in 1789 “Storming of the Bastille in Paris” took place.
It is an important event in the French Revolution. A state prison on the east side of Paris known as the Bastille was attacked by an angry and aggressive mob. The prison had become a symbol of the monarchy’s dictatorial rule and the event became one of the defining moments in the revolution that followed.
3) Today in 1854 Mahendranath Gupt, follower of Ramkrishna Paramahans, was born.
He was a disciple of Ramakrishna and a great mystic himself.He was the author of Sri Sri Ramkrishna Kathamrita, a Bengal classic and in English known as The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna.
