I welcome you all to “Today in History by Hranker.com”. Here, we will discuss some of the major events in the history of 30th of July, 210th day of the year and 29th Friday of 2021.
1) Today in 1995 the Jharkhand Area Autonomous Council was established.
It was seen as a major step towards formation of a separate state of Jharkhand.
In 1947 during independence All India Jharkhand Party was formed. The new state of Jharkhand was formed on 15th November 2000.
2) Today in 1957 Export Risk Insurance Corporation was established.
Exporting materials were insured through it. It was transformed into Export Credit and Guarantee Corporation Limited in 1964 and to Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India in 1983.
3) Today in 1960 Gangadhar Balkrishna Deshpande, great freedom fighter and Lion of Karnataka Died.
He was an Indian Activist and leader of the Indian Independence Movement against British Colonial rule from Belgaum and right hand man of both Lokamanya Tilak and Mahatma Gandhi.
