1) PM Modi dedicates 35 crop varieties with special traits to the Nation.

A) It is done to create mass awareness for adoption of climate resilient technologies.

B) Crop varieties have been developed by ICAR to address twin challenges of climate change and malnutrition.

C) PM will also dedicate the newly constructed campus of National Institute of Biotic stress Management Raipur.

2) New version of Surface to Air Akash Missile “Akash Prime” successfully flight tested from ITR, Chandipur, Odisha.

A) Missile intercepted and destroyed an unmanned aerial target mimicking enemy aircrafts.

B) It is equipped with indigenous active Radio Frequency seeker for improved accuracy.

3) The Labour Minister releases The Revamped Quarterly Employment Survey (QES) for April-June.

A) Total employment across nine selected sectors from the first round of QES was 3 crores 8 lakh.

B) Growth rate of 29% was reported from a total of 2.3 crore in the sixth Economic Census.

C) Manufacturing accounts for 41% followed by Education (22%) and Health (8%).

4) Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh took over as 34th Director General of National Cadet Corps (NCC).

A) NCC is a tri services organization engaged in grooming youth into disciplined and patriotic citizens.

B) It is a voluntary organization that recruits cadets from high schools, Colleges and Universities

C) NCC came into existence in 1948 under National Cadet Corps Act, 1948.

5) Indian Navy and Royal Navy of Oman signed a MoU on white shipping information exchange.

A) White shipping information is about exchange of advance information on identity and movement of commercial, non military merchant ships.

B) The MoU was signed at Maritime Security Centre (MSC), Muscat.

6) The Ministry of Food Processing along with MoHUA under the PMFME scheme virtually launched the Seed Capital Module.

A) It was launched on DeenDayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihoods Mission(DAY-NULM) MIS portal.

B) The scheme aims to empower SHGs.

C) PMFME scheme aims to enhance the competitiveness and promote formalization of the unorganized micro food processing enterprises in India.

7) Minister of MSME Narayan Rane called for developing the Coir Industry in Konkan.

A) Konkan region has great opportunities for development of Coir Industry as its coastal areas have good coconut crop.

B) Coir Industry provides employment to more than 7.3 lakh people in rural areas, 80% of which are women.
